People save up the whole year to enjoy a great summer vacation. This is the time schools are closed for the holidays and parents take their due leave to enjoy some uninterrupted quality time with the family. The destination, the duration and the accommodation all differ depending on the income of each individual family.
Last week roomsnet.com conducted a poll on holiday budgets to ascertain the budget trends of travelers for summer 2016. Out of the 1523 received responses 42.27% said their budgets ranged from $500 to $1,000, which is good considering the economic downturn of the past few years.
28% had a budget of $1000 or more while on the flip side 11% had a budget of under $100. 10.5% had a budget ranging from $250-$500 while 8.23% had budget from $100 to $250 for summer 2016.
The results show that a majority have been able to save a substantial amount for the summer vacation, if not quite going in for a luxury holiday. This broods well for the travel industry as holidaymakers come out of the recession and have enough money to spend on their holidays.
On an optimistic note it is good to note that 0% polled in as having no budget at all, so it seems as though summer 2016 will be a good one for most.
